Composting Worms

Our worms are top-quality composting worms, grown and distributed locally to ensure healthy worms.  Our stock includes a choice of either Red Wigglers (Eisenia fetida) or Indian Blues (Perionyx excavatus), two of the top composting worms available.

The worms come in their own, microbe-rich bedding to make an easy transition into your new bedding material.  They are ready to be incorporated into your worm bin and start composting your food scraps immediately.  Before you know it, they will be producing Worm Castings, valuable soil amendment for your own plants at home.

Price: 1 lb. of Composting Worms with bedding; approximately 1000 worms; total weight is 1 lb. 6 oz.;  $25

Worm Castings or Vermicompost

The “magic” in worm castings is in the microbes and hormones added by the worms.  Our worms live in our compost bedding anywhere from 3 months to a year.  Our fresh worm castings are harvested weekly from a Continuous Flow-Through Bed (CFT) and are kept moist in breathable packaging.  This entire process ensures that our castings are microbe- and hormone-rich. They are also pathogen-free (as shown by testing), and are ready to use on any indoor or outdoor plant.

Transform your soil into “Living Soil” by using our castings, and the result will be vibrant, healthy plants which are pest-repellent and disease-resistant.  (See uses for worm castings.)

Price: 1 dry gallon of Worm Castings:  $8

Worm Tea

Our Worm Tea or Plant Mega-Boost is actively aerated for 16 to 24 hours, with additives such as fish emulsion, kelp and soft rock phosphate.  This “brewing” process results in a super microbe-enriched “plant probiotic” which can be used liberally on all plants.  The Worm Tea needs to be used within 24 hours for best results.

Price:  1 liquid gallon of Worm Tea:  $4

Urban Worm Bag

The Urban Worm Bag from the Urban Worm Company is the newest worm bin on the market and is simply one of the best composting systems you could ever use.  It is constructed of heavy-duty, breathable fabric with a zippered top and zipper bottom to allow for easy feeding and harvesting of your worm castings without disturbing the worms at the top.

The included lightweight iron frame will not sag and the Bag is built with marine-grade materials to withstand your vermicompost’s moist conditions.  A delightful worm bin for new and experienced composters alike!
